STUDIO UPDATE

Over the Christmas period I have been working primarily on glass. Before this, my favourite pieces were those on acetate and I wanted to continue working on a clear surface. I have used my fluid painting technique on different sheets of glass and then sealed them in resin. This process does take longer than it would on other surfaces but I much prefer the outcome. The painting is much more vivid and I like being able to partially see through my work. I am going to continue this and ultimately want to do a bigger glass piece. Perhaps after this I will work on the opposite surface of glass, a mirror. It will be interesting to see how this type of painting looks like while partially covering a mirror.
