ANTONY MICALLEF

I used this artist's work in my blurb book along with Valerie Hegarty. Antony Micallef has recently become one of my favourite artists. I love the application of paint, how messy and thick the paint is yet it is still very figurative. I also enjoy his strong use of red in his paintings, it gives an angry, unsettling feel to the paintings. Since discovering his work a few month ago I have started to add more red into my colour palette.
