SOPHIE DERRICK

Sophie Derrick's recent work (more specifically her 2018 work) has been something I quite often find myself coming back to. While my work isn't related to hers and our processes are completely different, her work is very passionate and expressive and that is something I want to get across in my work. While her work is technically photography, I look at her work as paintings and try to take inspiration from the colours she uses and the way she has applied the paint.
